‘Senior care’ top of mind for Mississauga residents Trillium’s telephone town hall reveals
(Mississauga, ON) – Long-term care beds, wait times for hip and knee surgeries and other specialized needs for seniors were on the minds of community residents during a Trillium Health Partners (THP) Telephone Town Hall held on Tuesday, November 20th. Over 13,500 residents participated in the hour-long call hosted by THP’s President and CEO Michelle DiEmanuele alongside other senior leaders from the hospital.

Credit Valley Hospital celebrates completion of 20 year expansion plan
Over 150,000 square feet of renovated space improves care and experience for patients
(Mississauga, ON) Today, Trillium Health Partners (THP) celebrated the completion of the third phase of its 20 year Credit Valley Hospital (CVH) expansion plan that has added more space to care for more patients. The Honourable Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario, the Honourable Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, the Honourable Monte McNaughton, Minister of Infrastructure, local Members of Provincial Parliament and community leaders joined front-line staff to mark the momentous occasion with an official ribbon cutting.

Western Ontario’s Fight Like Mason Foundation makes first donation in GTA
(Mississauga, ON) Trillium Health Partners (THP) celebrated a generous donation of 22 customized, kid-friendly IV poles – Mason’s Power Poles – from the Fight Like Mason Foundation to Credit Valley Hospital’s Paediatric unit and Paediatric Oncology Clinic and Mississauga Hospital’s Paediatric unit.

October 17, 2018 (Mississauga, ON) – Today, Trillium Health Partners (THP) and SE Health (SE), were awarded the prestigious 2018 Minister's Medal Honouring Excellence in Health Quality and Safety by Robin Martin, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care. THP and SE were awarded this distinct honour for their innovative cardiac program known as Putting Patients at the Heart (PPATH)

October 2, 2018 (Mississauga, ON) – Today, Trillium Health Partners (THP) hosted a first of its kind annual lecture in Mississauga, led by the hospital’s research institute, the Institute for Better Health (IBH). Launched at the Medical Psychiatry Alliance (MPA) annual conference, the lecture was attended by patients, families, health care providers and educators from the community, as well as The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, The Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto and THP

Partnership between Runnymede and Trillium Health Partners aimed at reducing wait times
September 17, 2018 (TORONTO/MISSISSAUGA) – Runnymede Healthcare Centre (Runnymede) and Trillium Health Partners (THP) are working together to reduce wait times and create more capacity to meet the needs of the communities they serve. Today, the partners announced the launch of a High Tolerance Short Duration Rehabilitation (HTSD Rehab) program at Runnymede that will increase access to much-needed rehabilitation care in the west Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and increase acute care capacity at THP to help address the growing demand for service.

Trillium Health Partners Sets Out a Plan for the Decade Ahead
Hospital commits to challenging the limits of what is possible for health and the human spirit
(Mississauga, ON) – Today at Trillium Health Partners’ (THP) Annual Community Address the hospital shared its successes from the past year and announced plans for the decade ahead with the launch of its new strategic plan.
The 2019-2029 Strategic Plan: A New Kind of Health Care for a Healthier Community, sets out how THP will build capacity inside and outside of its walls to reduce wait times and improve access to the care and services the community needs. It also focuses on improving quality and safety, and ensures smoother transitions between different health care providers through partnerships.

Innovative Cardiac Care Program Wins Distinguished National Award
Groundbreaking collaboration between Trillium Health Partners and Saint Elizabeth Health Care benefits more than 1,000 cardiac patients annually

New Cultural Community Long-Term Care Home Approved in Mississauga
Historic partnership will create a first-of-its kind home for seniors
(Mississauga, ON) –– Today, the Honourable Charles Sousa, Minister of Finance and Member of Provincial Parliament for Mississauga South announced the Government of Ontario will award 320 new long-term care beds in Mississauga to a new partnership between Indus Community Services (Indus), Trillium Health Partners (THP), and Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care (Yee Hong).

Trillium Health Partners Achieves Exemplary Status from Accreditation Canada
Unprecedented final score of 99.84%
(Mississauga, ON) –– Trillium Health Partners (THP) has received Accreditation with exemplary status by Accreditation Canada, the highest possible score. Throughout the week of November 13-17, 2017, THP welcomed six surveyors from Accreditation Canada. The surveyors visited 79 units and departments throughout the hospital, spending the week meeting with staff, professional staff, volunteers and learners.

Trillium Health Partners Unveils Generous Donation from ArtWorks for Cancer Foundation
(Mississauga, ON) –Yesterday, Trillium Health Partners (THP) and Trillium Health Partners Foundation (THPF) celebrated a generous donation of artwork today from ArtWorks for Cancer Foundation (AWFC) to the Queensway Health Centre’s Betty and Buster Lockwood Cancer Detection and Treatment Centre and the Credit Valley Hospital’s Michèle S. Darling Women’s Imaging and Assessment Centre.
