Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Services

If you have been sexually assaulted within the last 168 hours (7 days), please go to Trillium Health Partners Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Services, accessed through the Mississauga Hospital Emergency Department (map), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you need to speak to someone about a sexual assault and/or domestic violence experience, please call the Assaulted Women's Helpline at 1-866-863-0511. This is a 24-hour crisis line.

We provide sexual assault and domestic violence services to adults, adolescents and children. Your safety, physical comfort and privacy is our top priority.

We provide the following Services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at Chantel’s Place at our Mississauga Hospital site:

Adult/Adolescent Sexual Assault 
A range of medical, forensic and/or counselling services are offered by admission through the Mississauga Hospital site Emergency Department to document, care for and/or treat physical concerns resulting from a recent sexual assault.

Pediatric Sexual Assault or Abuse 
Medical and/or forensic services for children under the age of 12 years who require care, assessment and/or documentation resulting from sexual abuse or assault.

Domestic Violence 
Services for individuals 16 years of age or older who have incurred recent physical injuries resulting from domestic violence.

Services may include:

  1. Documentation and/or treatment of injuries (may include photography)
  2. Safety planning
  3. Outpatient counselling service referral;
  4. Appropriate referrals to community agencies

Who We Help

We help individuals who have been sexually assaulted or have been victims of domestic violence within the Peel Region (Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon area):

Individuals 12 years of age or older who have been recently sexually assaulted (usually within the last 168 hours (7days)).
Individuals 16 years of age or older who have incurred recent injuries resulting from domestic violence
Children under the age of 12 who require care, assessment and or documentation resulting from sexual assault/abuse.
